Our monthly stay in The Starfish Cottage was very comfortable for both of us. The Starfish decor is lovely throughout the entire cottage! It is tidy, very clean and had everything we needed. Jill is an excellent host and went out of her way to provide us with a care basket of snacks and water upon arrival. She also kept us updated via text with weekly activities in the resort and she met other needs or questions we had in a timely manner. At check-in I mentioned I drank K-Cup coffee and the next day Jill brought a brand new Keurig to the cottage. She is a wonderful host and we recommend this cottage rental. We would give this cottage the highest rating possible for Jill’s hospitality, the cleanliness and beautiful decor.

We apologize that this email took a bit to write- things have been a little hectic.
Our stay at Drew and Cinda’s little cottage couldn’t have been more pleasant. Their home is comfortable and clean, with everything you need for your stay. Our teenage daughter enjoyed her space in the curtained bedroom located in the lanai, and we our space in the king sized bed with ample storage. Sun and Fun itself is clean and well maintained and amenities abound. We particularly enjoyed riding our bikes all over, and feeling safe to do so- day or night. We would definitely recommend and stay again. Helen’s help facilitating our stay was crucial and so helpful. She feels like a friend now.

Everything was really good , there are a couple of things I think you should have on a vacation rental, nice grill, we actually went and bought one, a nice patio set and a couple of loungers.
It is a really nice park with many things to do, we did send another couple there for a rental this summer. They are looking to see how it fits in for them, I gave them Helen number, hopefully they get in touch with her.

I truly did enjoy my stay. The unit is very nice and I would stay here again. Having a King size bed in the one bedroom is a bit much. You can not get in the closets, drawers or walk around (tv hangs down into walking space and you have to bend under it to get into bed and or out the door). She should put a smaller bed in there.
The first two days were a bit much, as she was still preparing it for a renter
All and all, I would highly recommend this unit, Eva is a carrying person who tries very hard to please her tenants. The unit (after having a cleaning lady to come in and clean on the second day). Is clean and well kept.

We rented for three month while our new home was under construction. We had to get use to the size of the home and had a little trouble connecting to the internet. Gave Helen a call and the repair person was there in three hours and fixed the problem. We used the health club and really enjoyed the facility. Over all we enjoyed our stay at the Bunker House !

It was great! The location of 400 Maple worked out for us because we were also renting on OB which was close enough to walk. Our family enjoyed the accommodations and were sad when it came time to leave.
400 Maple is a nice well kept older unit located very close to a bathhouse and central portion of the park. The ample parking space in the front of this unit makes easy to accomodate visitors.

We had a wonderful month at Sun N Fun! When we first arrived, the unit hadn’t been cleaned very well and I know the cleaning woman had trouble getting into the unit at first and that may have been the issue. Checkin was at 4pm but we arrived early but after we did some cleaning, we were able to enjoy it there very much. We love the pickleball at Sun N Fun!
Hello prospective renters/owners! I just wanted to leave a review for Helen Kapalowski. I stayed at her 1004 Laura rental, and it was amazing. Me and my 2 kids stayed and found it perfect for our needs. It’s cozy, equipt with all the essentials like a big tv, comfy beds, great AC and an awesome Golf Cart. Helen was more than accommodating, she was super patient and flexible and goes out of her way to work with you. She’s a great owner and even greater person, we love this place and will return! I HIGHLY recommend renting one of her properties, super great rate and fantastic place. Thanks!!!

First let me say that we were very happy, and lucky, to meet you. Had we not connected I do not think we could have found a place at Sun N Fun! We both loved the resort and already plan to return either later this year or early in 2019. Also, we have shared your website with some family and friends so again, thanx a bunch!
The first place we stayed at was really nice. It was easily large enough for us and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Also, it was very clean and move in ready. There wasn’t any internet but we adapted. I would highly recommend this unit and would have no problem renting it out to family and friends. We would return here no question.

Here is my testimonial for your unit that I rented in September during Hurricane Irma:
“I was a guest of Helen’s in September 2017. I rented her patio home for a two week period of time that ended up almost four weeks due to Hurricane Irma. Sun-n-Fun closed to all residents and visitors the weekend of the storm, and it did not re-open until the following week when power was restored to the park. Cable was out an additional four or five days after the power was restored. Helen was concerned about my well-being, and she called almost daily to make sure that I had alternate housing during the storm and subsequent days when I was not allowed into the resort. When I left, she was very good about crediting me for days that I couldn’t stay at the resort and had to be in alternate housing because of storm damage. I was really thankful for her understanding.
The resort was very nice, but in September, not a lot of the facilities were open due to this being considered “off season.” I was able to use the exercise facility, and it was furnished with two different weight rooms, one with free weights and another with weight machines and aerobic equipment. Both the indoor and outdoor swimming pools were available, but there was a great deal of construction around the outdoor pool and patio. I never had difficulty finding a laundry facility, as I think there were three available in the resort. The poolside bar was nice, and the food that I ordered there was good. I don’t believe the restaurant facilities were open while I was there.
Helen’s patio home was furnished with everything that one person would need for an extended stay. I did not have any difficult cooking in her kitchen with all the pots, pans, and utensils she had there. The bed was nice and firm with adequate pillows(although I brought my own). The living room had two recliners and a futon couch, so I could relax in different ways when I needed.
I thought that Helen was a great person to rent from. She responded quickly to any problem, particularly when Hurricane Irma visited. I think the AC unit broke down while I was there, but less than four hours elapsed before a repairman showed up and fixed the problem. If I had to spend more than a few days in Sarasota again, I would not hesitate to call Helen to see if she had availability at her rental.”

Hi Helen,
The Sun N Fun park was exceptional- the services and amenities were wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. You were very professional with helping us organize our stay- much appreciated.
The only feedback for moving forward would be the unit did not come with a golf cart but again, you did communicate it may not be included but I was hopeful so having to pay extra for that was a bit of a bummer. The unit was cozy and we loved the amenities in the kitchen and the bathroom and having the washer and dryer was a bonus! I was concerned about turning on the ceiling fans though in the kitchen and bedroom as they looked that they hadn’t been cleaned in a long time so I was afraid to distribute the dust around.
We will definitely be coming back and I will use your services again to help locate the perfect unit to rent.

This is a very special place! When I was bringing in my pet, I slipped and dropped the carrier. Scared to death in the dark Jimmy escaped, and ran. Several kind people spotted him, but he was terrified and continued to run and hide. For 3 1/2 hours more than 25 people campers/staff helped me search for him, finally at midnight we found him submerged in Queens Canal, I jumped in the canal and several kind people helped get him and me out. It could have ended so badly! These amazing kind strangers, never gave up. Jimmy is going to fine, thank you all do very much!
I think this is a great place, lots to do if you want or just take it easy like myself & hubby. We have been coming here for about 8 years now. Spend quite a bit of time at the pool. I noticed this year people have been bringing in small dogs to the pool area. I’ve noticed about 8 dogs in the past week especially at the adult hot tub area.
Yes, the front desk people are unpleasant. Don’t seem to want to help you, try to get rid of you as fast as they can. This happens every year when we first arrive f also at other times. Don’t know why they work front desk if they don’t like it!
Does staff read these posts? What about the golf carts parking in the car park area at the pool when they have lots of open spaces for them. This morning at 11am there was 3 golf carts parked in the car area!
Other than that, everything is fine. Now to sit back at the pool & enjoy it.
First time here…loved Trish’s line dancing classes…everybody was very friendly…I understand it’s a business but I do feel like not being allowed to bring just a water to the pool is a bit too much…we did eat at boondocks bar and grill, food was good and reasonably priced…we do plan on going back again as of now…
I would LOVE this place if it weren’t for some really rude workers. The original check in lady was so nice. We gave her info on our daughter who was coming the next day. When my daughter arrived the next day, the person at the gate was just down right nasty to her! We left to go shopping and upon our return, the gentleman in the booth was so nice. He took our other daughter’s name as they were going to come in Sat. for just the day. When they arrived, they too had a not so nice person who claimed the pass was there for yesterday, but not Sat. When we walked into the office area looking for the calendar, the lady behind the main counter was short, however the craft lady was the nicest. It was just hit or miss this weekend with your workers and that is too bad! Love the facility and amenities AND the close vicinity to things to do. Only like the treatment we received from your workers!
Both Sharon and I look forward to our weekends at Sun N Fun. Not only do they have a great pool and spa area, the food is very reasonablely priced also. We have met so many good friends at our stays here. The staff at Sun N Fun are courteous and always willing to help your stay as pleasant as possible. We have been to many RV campgrounds, but none have the amenities that we have here.
This was our second year at Sun and Fun and I can only say wonderful things about it. The park and all the facilities are just like being on a cruise and every member of the staff are very friendly and helpful..We have rented park models both times, they are very well taken care of and if you need anything the staff are there to help you. It’s just one our favorite vacations, looking forward to next year. Thanks again to the staff who make our stay so pleasant
